Today was the 14th time I have been physically assaulted in this country Egypt.
and no one has helped the police are as useful as a bag of manure. THE BRITISH EMBASSY ARE ALSO AS GOOD AS A BAG OF WIND, THE ONLY HELP THEY WILL GIVE IS GETTING MY DECEASED BODY BACK TO THE UK WITH A HEFTY BILL THAT MY SPOUSE WOULD HAVE TO PAY BEFORE RELEASING MY BODY, OR IF I NEED A NEW PASSPORT BEFORE I DIE,
during the past 5 years I have been in and out of the courts here 15 times,550 hours either in custody or wasting time in lawyers and court rooms, 1000$ trying to prove forgery papers in Cairo, trying to get my rights after being swindled out of a home I built. or rather a home my money built.
I eventually 4 months ago won my case,
by taking it for the second time to the court in the village of Qurna near Luxor of
Dr Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed Al-Tayeb Al-Azhar Sheikh,
During the 3 years this case was in the hands of the police and Luxor district court it was getting more and more like I was to blame for coming here with my money and turning an already bad man worse twice. I received a jail term of 2 weeks held back on appeal, the first appeal on the case of hitting the father I had to pay 1000, to stay out of court,
I will later tell you of THE REAL REASON why I received prison,
After the first court of the sheikh 3 years ago the accused refused to pay back any money saying why should I pay a Christian back.
First I was forced to leave my home when the brother switched off the water and electricity supply then the roof of my home was set on fire, the owner;- whom I cannot mention or the name of the hotel I built as its in the verbal contract of getting my payments back from the Sheikh, fifteen thousand Egyptian pound every six months, that in itself is an insult, but must be grateful I am getting anything,:- its going to take 20 years to pay this amount back, but as the Sheihk said, take what you can as you might fight for 20 years and will not get anything in the corrupt luxor court, his words, just like a famous person said in his email I only know 2 police men who are not corrupt.
The owner got his neighbors (relatives) to say (we) me and my wife make the fire, we were drunk on the roof smoking and drinking beer, it was proven in court that the neighbors lied as they could not see us from the point where they said they saw us. the owner also said we hid the fire extinguishers in my room. they found 6 extinguishers on the roof after the fire of which 5 never worked, so found us not guilty, but they never looked into the fact that someone made this fire neither did they look at our account of the fire and the only persons other than ourselves in the hotel that night was Achmed the brother and his Friend Hassan, we heard them on the roof just before the fire moving chairs and tables around. I think and from what I saw on the roof while putting the fire out most of the chairs and dining tables plus cushions had been moved only 2 chairs remained where the fire started, I think they started the fire hoping for a small fire but the wind came up and set it out of control. this night all the family apart from achmed was out very unusual there is 2 parts of the family 10 persons IE the owners father and mother plus 2 sisters and 2 brothers, the owner had his wife and 2 small children, and they never all went out together,
2 weeks after we left the home I had a phone call from the kelaney hotel in Aswan saying a doctor had left his bag in one of my rooms. I told Mohamed Kelany that the hotel was closed, but it was proven the doctor had left a bag as he described the room and the little man Achmed, so Me and my wife went to the hotel to see if it was open as we had been promised by the tourist police the hotel will be closed , first we went to the police station and told them what we had been told, they said take a camera to prove the hotel is open,
On arrival at the hotel the father was waiting with a stave, the neighbor's son Hassan phoned the hotel to say we were on the way up.
Hassan has a boat on the Nile that is moored near the ferry that crosses the Nile.and is always on the lookout for tourists :- taxi Mr or want a felluca sail today Mr.
First I knocked on the owners front door, as the hotel was locked . the owners wife opened the door on seeing the camera she slammed the door in my wife's face with such force the door did not close it opened on itself my wife fell to the ground and the father came out wielding a stave, hit my wife twice as i stepped in to protect her the stave came down again and protecting myself I had my finger smashed up. the nail had to be surgically removed and the finger had 8 stitches, then the little achmed the arsonist stole my camera and took out the card, I managed to grab my camera back and we headed back down to the ferry as we were on the ferry I was starting to drip blood all over the place so I got some tissues to cover it and I asked my wife to take a photo that's when I realized the card had been stolen. we then went to the police station to report the incident looking back what a big mistake going to the police, first they called the father and brother in the police station . at this time the owner was in Hurgada renting another hotel and most like told his father and family,, do not let me in the hotel.
we had already made statements by the time the father and son arrived. the father was very weak and had to be supported by two people he was also holding a rag to his face to stop something bleeding,
first I will tell you what happened after we left the scene,
the father and son set about each other with a stick of some sort Achmed had a wound on his leg that looked like it may have been hit with a piece of wood with a nail in it, the fathers wound as I was told 4 weeks later by the doctor police surgeon,who made the reports the bleeding was from an old would that had the scab removed(been scratched) .
The statements of the father and son read as such, I hit achmed with a stave and then preceded to hit the father first I hit him in the groin then the belly, achmeds statement said he took the sim card out of the camera, when the police made a statement for the court it said they on arrival at the place the assault took place could not find a stave neither could they find a camera, and remember this the police report is what the judges go by, most like forget what is in the main reports but will remember what the police say.
3 statements I have made in the police station. none read what I actually said in one it referred to me as a trouble maker,
today all statements have to be taken to the tourist information office where the Arabic and English is read with 2 personel from the office, before they are signed by the victim , not that it makes too much difference as police statements have a habit of disappearing in the court house 2 of mine did then reappeared after the death of Mr Hassan Atea uncle for the accused forger and lawyer Mustafa Atea, who by the way has another relative looking after his end in the court of the Sheihk.
Mustafa Atea was I thought my lawyer, but he was acting for the owner, and is a second cousin of the owner , he also signed as my power of attorney this is an offence uder the law here and carries a jail term of 3 to 7 years, this was never brought up in court, he also disappeared for 7 weeks when we tried to get his name off the p a contract. he then disappeared for one month after the Sheihks final court ruling, because all the case numbers which there was 9 of, had to be removed from the corrupt court before any payment was made to me from the Sheihk, he is now guarantor for my payments. the accused pays the Sheik the Sheihk pays me , but I had to withdraw all charges against The land Owner And his lawyer , and they in turn had to drop several charges against me one of them was a prison sentence of 2 weeks.
that's enough on this after all I am supposed to be happy its all over,
now what are the other 12 assaults, first there is the Lawyers assault ;- where he hit me for asking which of his children wrote the English contract. he went out of the court got some thug to hit him 3 times in the face and made a hospital report of my beating him up, I got 2 weeks in Jail for attacking him in his place of work
on another occasion some thug attacked me from the rear no point in going to the police by this time I knew the police were corrupt. I was in the village of dabeah, on the west bank near the Nile bridge,
school was closing and a group of young boys started to mock asking for money etc, when I refused they started to throw stones hitting me several times this also happened in the canal area of Luxor ,
while I was on my travels I happened to wander into a village by the lake qaroun, looking for something to eat in one of the local eat places, I could have eaten in the hotel but they did not need my money I always try and spend on the locals I do not go round with my pockets full of money to throw at any one who has the mentality of;- if I do not ask I will not get , I call them beggars, and there are far too many of them here in Egypt the Quran says its harram to beg so why do they, then when we do not give they turn against us.
there is also much more wealthier people here in Egypt than in the UK. they all beg and all have 2 or 3 mobile phones, The only thing I see Egyptians give beggars is a bugger off look or 25 piestas. So why in a country I have been robbed of my money should I give to beggars some I know are much wealthier than I am. like the beggar who died in Alexandria 5 years ago they found 2 million egp in his home, the beggar woman who the police stopped trying to steal a new Mercedes Benz top of the range car, it was hers bought and paid for in cash , as they found out in court,( or are the daily papers giving out lies) the so called blind guy who always has a 7 year old as a guide he has flats here in luxor, when one argues with him you can see he has glued his eyes , I dropped a 5 pound note on the floor in front of him he must have the most acute of hearing if he heard a note fall, because he picked it up .
I want to know what these kids are being taught that they set about like packs of dogs attacking anybody that does not pay them they do not do it to there own, so why just people they refer to as infidels.
and that is the answer.
Every time I go on one of my birding jaunts some little, even big tyke will want money they think I am photographing or want to photograph the donkey or cow or sheep, even things he does not own such as the birds he wants money for, as I said the mentality is, no ask no get, and every none Egyptian is a walking atm.
And today was the straw that has broken the camels back,
As some of you know I have been blogging on Nile pollution ,
hoping that one day they may clean up the Nile so these beggars and thieves can have a better life such as clean water to feed their crops and somewhat clean water so the tourist does not get the crap's every time they clean their teeth or accidentally swallow Nile water, and the birds do not get oily feathers and die,
and today I decided to start a new campaign on Nile pollution for the past two years I have taken lots of photos of Nile pollution, but thought I will get some up to date ones to show the public how contaminated this river really is.
and for my troubles I get some nice Egyptian wanting me to take a boat ride on the Nile, the usual rubbish came out of his mouth as so often before I have had jerks who think I am gay and offering me fruit that is abundant here, no thank I say,
but this prick today kept on following me if I went one way he followed turned around he followed would not take no for an answer. in the end I asked him .
which way you go with you he said , I said not today, whats your problem he said as so many times I hear this question if I refuse their offer whether its a taxi sail boat or horse and carriage.
but today the bastard punched me in the chest very hard leaving a bruise, this was witnessed by a nearby police man on duty by the cruisers, first the little bastards father came running over, grabbed hold of me by the arms, saying sorry mister sorry for him he is my son please I am sorry, too late I said, as the cop came over . the guy made a dart for the nearest exit but there was a cop there , so turned back and ran along one of the jetties to a motor boat as the cop came to me in gestures that he saw what happened, so what you gonna do I said swim after him to arrest him , but the cop did not understand a word I said. the guy who said he was the father also made a runner , he would have been put under arrest and me I could not be bothered please mister, putting his fingers together the way they do means wait a moment. and again gestured the sign for arrest wrists together, then the guy in the boat made a getaway going straight across the river, and me I was not going to waste any more time making police statements that will disappear in the courts, and I too left the promenade, one problem is this, they will catch the offender they will more than likely think I am a tourist staying overnight before I cruise off to Aswan and will never be seen again. so the boy or his father will pay the police to stay out of court the cop was a witness to a crime, so the offender or his father will not make any arguments, the court if they go will order them to pay as much as 3000 egp fine payable on the spot or jail for a month, if its found the guy has a ring on his finger he can get up to twice that amount of time or payment . the reason I got the two weeks jail was they convicted me for hitting with a ring on my finger,
WHY DID I GET A PRISON TERM????? THESE ARE ALL OF ONE FAITH, THE JUDGES THE LAWYERS AND THE LAND OWNER, (IF THE LAND OWNER WAS A COPT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SETTLED OUT OF COURT,) MAKE ONE BAD THEY ALL TURN AGAINST THE INFIDEL, BY GIVING ME A PRISON SENTENCE THEY THOUGHT LIKE SO MANY CASES BEFORE MINE, I WOULD LEAVE EGYPT BY THE BACK DOOR, THEY WOULD LEAVE THE BACK DOOR OPEN FOR ME TO ESCAPE ONCE I HAD LEFT EGYPT I COULD NEVER RETURN TO FIGHT FOR MY RIGHTS, THUS PUTTING ALL THE CORRUPT JUDGES LAWYERS AND ALL THE KINGS MEN IN THE CLEAR TO DO AGAIN TO SOMEONE ELSE, MONEY WOULD EXCHANGE HANDS WITH A PAT ON THE BACK SAYING WHAT A CLEVER BOY WE ALL ARE, NOT;- DO NOT DO THAT AGAIN.
mr Mustafa will get a new car or office re furbished, god knows what the judges get, maybe they will hoard the money to put the son in the faculty of judges for the next generation of corrupt officials ensuring that the cycle is not broken,
AND LONG LIVE CORRUPTION,
NO ONE WILL CHANGE IT AS EGYPT LIVES ON LIES and PROMISES,
